I am very down to earth and I like to keep things light. There's enough serious stuff going on in this world that I don't need to add more. I love to laugh (and often laugh at myself) and be happy, and surround myself with positive people. Family and friends are very important to me.

I have a strong east coast work ethic and believe in doing my best in everything I do. I love hanging out with my friends, too, and value someone who is a true friend. Speaking of value, things that are important to me include trust, respect, honesty, communication, friendship, laughter and fun. These I want in my partner and what my partner will receive from me.

I am working on being healthy right now by eating right and exercising. I recently graduated so now have time for myself and have no excuse. I love being outdoors, even just weeding the yard. Tent camping by a lake is a favorite vacation of mine, since I enjoy listening to nature, breathing in the pine-filled air and relaxing. I enjoy different types of music, mostly 70s rock, soft rock and country. I prefer going to outdoor concerts, hanging out with friends or staying home watching a movie or sitting outside by the fire.

I believe that in a healthy relationship, we don't try to change each other. I do believe, however, that we better ourselves because of and for the special person in our life. The wanting to do something for the other person because you know they like it is what keeps relationships alive. We don't have to like all the same things as our interests will expand as we experience new ones with new people, enhancing each other's lives.
